Surprise Proposal in Lucerne
Earlier this year, I received an inquiry from Navin and Nicole — a couple of doctors traveling from Virginia to Switzerland. Nicole originally reached out to book a couples session in Zurich months in advance, excited to capture their European adventure together.
What she didn’t know was that Navin had something else planned.
A few weeks after our initial chat, Navin reached out to me privately to organize a surprise proposal in Lucerne.
We coordinated everything behind the scenes to make it absolutely unforgettable — from the perfect location, to timing, light, and the flow of the session to keep it casual and natural for Nicole.
I suggested an early morning shoot at Dreilinden Park — a quiet gem in Lucerne with incredible panoramic views of the mountains, lake, and rooftops. Unlike the bustling Old Town, Dreilinden is serene, romantic, and perfect for a moment this intimate. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect — crisp air, soft light, and not a soul in sight.
As we reached the main lookout point, Navin dropped to one knee. Nicole was definitely surprised — and she said yes.
Their energy was emotional and calm at the same time — it was one of those mornings you know none of us will forget. We spent the rest of the hour wandering the park, soaking in the post-proposal glow, and capturing the softness of that moment in the Lucerne light.
